Write Your Life Stories: add SPICE to your life

Write Your Life Stories: add SPICE to your life

By Jo Parfitt

This eight lesson home study course will teach you my unique SPICE tool that unlocks the secret to writing compelling stories based on your experiences. Each lesson provides a Limbering Up exercise and a Task to get you putting pen to paper. Be inspired, not only by the clear and practical instructions, but also by writings on those very same tasks created by my students. In addition to eight audio files you can also download a workbook that contains the same content, a SPICE chart for you to use and a video showing me teaching an introduction to my method in a classroom. This same method has been taught at the Watermill at Posara in Tuscany since 2012 in a residential retreat situation, in the Netherlands, Malaysia and online. Well over a 1000 students have learned its methods and many have gone on to publish their own memoirs.

Scammer Diaries

Scammer Diaries

By Fahim Farook

Two indie authors with 20+ years in the trenches sit down to name names on the schemes targeting writers today — from fake editors quietly running manuscripts through ChatGPT, to vanity presses dressed up as book deals, to "we'll make you a bestseller" pitches that never deliver.

Each episode breaks down one scam in plain language: how it hooks you, the red flags that give it away, and what to do if you've already been caught. It's the conversation about publishing scams you wish someone had had with you before you learned the hard way.

When You Always Have to Deliver

When You Always Have to Deliver

By Dr. Femke E. Bakker

You're the one everyone counts on to deliver, whatever it takes. And even when you love what you do, part of you has started to wonder whether it has to cost this much: the stress, the pushing through exhaustion, the sense that your best only ever comes at a price. It doesn't.

Over seven short tracks, Femke Bakker, selfgentleness and meditation teacher, TEDx speaker, and researcher, guides you toward an easier way to arrive at your best. You'll learn to relax your body on demand, loosen the grip of time, reconnect with the quiet place your best work comes from, and become your own steadiest support. Each track pairs a short reflection with a guided practice, so you discover what this means for you rather than just hearing about it. No hustle, no pressure. Just a calmer, more spacious way to do what you already do well.

Living Timefully

Living Timefully

By Tom Evans

This mindfully and timefully short course will help you escape from being enslaved by the clock. Time, as we know it, is man-made and nothing in nature beats to the second but the thoughts of somebody watching a clock. When we get back in sync with natural time, two benefits come our way.

First, we get more things done, with more ease, in less time.

Secondly, we discover every starts to occur, just in time. The lessons in this course are accompanied and extended with ambient soundscapes designed to loosen your bond with linear time.

Accordingly I recommend you use headphones to listen to each lesson.

The Life Story Jar

The Life Story Jar

By Jo Parfitt

Your memories, experiences, defining moments and crazy incidents are important – they show who you are and yet the task of writing a full-length memoir, is a mountain too high to climb. So, what if you could learn how to write about the things that have shaped you in the most compelling way? What if you could write them, not to be published, but as a legacy for your family? This is the core of the Life Story Jar course. Based on the concept of Kintsugi, a porcelain jar that has been broken, just as we can be broken by some of our experiences, and put back together again, just as we manage to pick ourselves up and start again. Kintsugi shows that pieces are mended with golden glue and rendered more precious. I believe that our stories represent the pieces and the sharing of those stories is the golden glue. This programme of 50 individual lessons will guide you towards writing your own pieces and building them into a unique and priceless collection. Each lesson begins with inspiration and practical tips and ends with an example of my own writing on the very same topic. So dive in and try it for yourself.

Follow the Line: A Sound & Drawing Journey

Follow the Line: A Sound & Drawing Journey

By SÏRÏ Opli

Welcome to this four-day sound and drawing journey.

Together, we will explore a simple yet powerful way of creating more calm, clarity, and presence in everyday life using tools you already have: a pencil, a piece of paper, your senses, and a few quiet moments for yourself.

This journey weaves together movement, sound, and image through the kinesthetic, auditory, and visual senses. By engaging all three, you invite the mind to settle, the body to soften, and the inner world to express itself without needing words.

Each day, find a comfortable place where you can be undisturbed for a few minutes. Let this be your time. A small act of choosing yourself.

As you listen to my piano painting, place your pencil on the paper and allow it to move freely. There is no right way and no wrong way. No art skills are required.

Simply follow the music.

Let the pencil travel across the page in one continuous movement. When the movement feels complete, gently lift the pencil.

Pause.

Take a breath.

Notice what you feel.

What changed?

What wanted to be expressed?

What happens when you stop trying to control the line and allow it to lead the way?

Welcome to the journey.

Drawing It Out- A ten Day Journey back to Yourself

Drawing It Out- A ten Day Journey back to Yourself

By SÏRÏ Opli

DIO — Drawing It Out

A New Reality Journey with SÏRÏ

What if you didn’t need to think your way back to yourself?

What if you could draw your way there?

Drawing It Out — DIO — is a journey into inner stillness through one of the simplest tools we have: a line on a page.

You do not need to be an artist.

You do not need to know how to draw.

And you do not need to make anything beautiful.

In fact, that is part of the point.

I created DIO through my own experience of discovering what happens when we allow the hand to move before the thinking mind has time to decide what should happen.

A pen.

A piece of paper.

A line.

And suddenly there is another way of listening.

DIO combines guided reflection, drawing, sound, music and moments of stillness to help you move underneath the noise of everyday life. Instead of trying to explain everything with words, you allow the body and the hand to speak.

The drawing becomes a conversation.

Not a picture you have to understand or interpret correctly, but a place where something inside you can become visible.

Throughout this journey, I will invite you to draw without judgement, without planning and without needing to know where the line is going.

Because this is not really a journey towards becoming better at drawing.

It is a journey of remembering.

Remembering the part of you that existed before all the expectations, roles, responsibilities, stories and noise became so loud.

The part of you that already knows.

The part of you that can become quiet enough to hear itself.

You may discover feelings you have not had words for. You may recognise patterns, memories or parts of yourself that have been waiting for your attention. Or you may simply experience something wonderfully uncomplicated:

peace.

There is nothing to achieve here.

There is only something to meet.

You.

One line at a time.

Welcome to DIO — Drawing It Out.

Welcome to Drawing Yourself Home.
