Journey Description
These eight yoga nidra meditations guide you around the Celtic wheel of the year. The Celtic festivals occur on the Solstices and Equinoxes and mark the important seasonal transitions along the connected themes that arise in our own lives. Each meditation explores the energy of the season, acknowledging the cycle that we move through every year, with relaxing body scans, breath awareness and visualisations that enable to you embody and explore the season.
Yoga nidra is a restful meditation practice where the magic of the meditation happens through just being and not trying, so give yourself permission to rest and leave any pressure to understand or 'do' anything aside, and enjoy the simplicity of flowing through each meditation and receiving its wisdom.

Yule - Winter Solstice
The Winter Solstice is the darkest point of the year when we experience the shortest day and the longest night. In the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice occurs between the 19th and 22nd of December, and in the Southern Hemisphere between the 19th and 22nd of June.
This meditation guides you to turn inwards and rest with the natural stillness of this dark, quiet time. There is an exploration of the opposites hot and cold, and a journey to meditate inside a cave for the long, dark night and emerge with the sunrise.

In the Northen Hemisphere, the Summer Solstice occurs between the 19th and 22nd of June, and in the Southern Hemisphere between the 19th and 22nd of December.
